Port welshpool or lakes entrance January?
Hey. Planning a lb fishing trip early January next year. Not sure whether to go to port Welsh or lakes entrance. Had good success same time this year at port. Went to metung and LE surrounds with not much success in September 2018. I've heard of good fishing in LE but no idea of what LB spots are Good at that time of year. Anyone with knowledge tips appreciated. Cheers.

I usually fish lakes entrance in winter for aussie salmon and tailor on the beach. Not sure what's biting in January. Probably the usual, pinkie, flathead, bream. Any water you can access in the lake system should have some fish. Ask local tackle shop there of what's biting.

If you are going to go down LE way id travel a bit further and hit Marlo! really nice place up that way.
French Narrows, Motts beach or the river just infront of the caravan park have been good for us in the past
You need to use lures though. We found it tough with bait. But lures and walking along the banks we done ok
