Taylor's Lake, is don is good!
Family fishing day today, wife, 4yo, 3yo and 3week old kids, packed lunch, and set up at Taylor's for a fish off the bank. Fishing near the wall, the session started quick. A 28 cm carp straight up and all the rods bouncing around with bites. Another 2 carp 26 and 27 cm, and several missed! Then the silver perch moved in and were stripping the hooks bare as quick as they could be baited. First one was 15cm then 10cm. As we were running out of bait quick, we started experimenting with what we had. Sean got a 35 cm carp on Don Strasbourg! Powerbait was the next option, the silvers predictably stripped that off the hooks like the worms. The final fish was caught by Alex on the last worm, another silver about 7cm...There were a few boats running, but results were all about the same, as were the other bank fishermen. Reports of a few yellas being caught off the bank are coming in, but none were seen today. Water level is ok, with the timber in easy casting range, should be some better fish coming out of there soon. :bite:
My hobbies are fishing and golf, I guess I just like frustration..

A popular bait in the uk is luncheon meat cut into small cubes and the upside if the fishing is slow at least you can eat your bait.i bet your kids had a great day out
