nice fish Trevking, shame about the trout.
I've found that rigging the tassie's without the wire inner they come with but instead by running the line through the lure, putting a little bead behind it and tying it straight to a treble decreases the amount of fish lost.

x 2 .. when they shake their heads from side to side the lure just slides up the line so there's no leverage the trout can use to spit the lure.. yep loose the wire.

Thanks for the advice guys - I wasn't actually using the wire, but had the line going straight through to the treble.
But, a bead would probably help expose the hook more (with no bead the top of the hook was partially 'inside' the lure) and result in better hookups. I'll definitely try it next time.

Looks like the lake has been stocked recently, got this one rainbow this morning. Definitely worth getting up early to fish in this weather. :sun:

Weather was terrible this morning compared to yesterday...but I had a crack anyway, not expecting much...scored this solid brown.
