Paddled around for about 4 hours yesterday forgot to bring my anchor so my fishing was pretty limited. Drifted for an hour or so chucking a range of different lures around just caught weed. The wind was quite strong making trolling hard work. First time at Wendouree couldn't believe how shallow the lake is, does look a very fishy place but didnt see any fish or minnows around. Did see a bloke on a boat hook into a nice size fished.

Was entertained all afternoon by a concert nearby, daryl braitheway and diesel playing could hear it quite clearly.

:)

Should of hung around. James Reyne, Hoodoo Gurus and Jimmy Barnes played later that day.

20 minute flick at the lake tonight right on dusk, first fish I've landed from the lake in a while. Good to see the fish starting to fire up again. Plastic is a Keitech 2'' Easy Shiner.

Trev. Thats a nice trout.
I'll be hitting Wendouree hopefully by lunchtime for a few hours. Will anyone be around then?

Thanks guys,

How'd you go seephil? Didn't read the message until now so sorry I couldn't help you out, for future reference the middle of the day is generally the slowest for Wendouree landbased, but always worth a go especially around this time of year.

Hi Trev where are best spots LB at Wendouree? I'm hoping to catch up with a mate that side around the end of June & thought I'd give it a go.
I guess like sea/bay fishing sun up & sundown being the most productive times LB?

No worries Trev King. I ventured over to Wendouree for an hour just flicking a couple of lures before the light showers. I often go to Ballarat to drop and wait for clients at Sovereign Hill.
I tried fishing near the botanical gardens... not sure if it was the ideal spot. Nevertheless it was a nice day out.
