Quiet at Newlyn Reservoir

Post by TrevKing » Sun May 19, 2013 10:07 pm

Headed out to Newlyn for a flick this afternoon. Not many people there.

Tried all sorts of lures, from hardbodies to spinners. Not even a hit.

In the end I gave in and cast out the trusty worm-on-a-running-sinker-rig.

Still nothing!

Very very strange for Newlyn Reservoir to produce nothing.

Anyway, nice afternoon for a fish!

Bad luck! You can judge how a location is fishing by the number (or lack of) people there!
thanks

Just fished it yesterday. Had my trusty home farmed european night crawlers. (These were the steroid fed 5 inch juicy ones from the special pile :a_goodjob: )

Not a bite after 3 hours, fished the bank and the Rock wall.

pretty quiet. Been here 5 times in total, pretty dead lake.

Why dont u try wombat creek trout and reddys , or bostoc trout reddys and they even stocked it with chinook salmon or pykes creek .
