I started at Dry Creek Rd and can barely believe how much lower it looks compared to when I fishing there around xmas. I could hear and see carp on the other side of the "pond", maybe 20 meters away, but I continued to fish anyway. I was using a brightly coloured stumpjumper size 3 lure and a kmart rod and reel combo that probably has 15lb line from the factory in china on it. I fished for about an hour, walking along the now very steep bank, casting as close to the dead trees as I dared. I had a couple of snags, but the the new rod and 15lb line made short work on that :a_goodjob: I had one follow that got me excited, but didn't see enough of the fish to have a guess at the species.
Next place to try was Kennedy's Point. Again the water was much lower, and my favourite submerged tree trunk was well and truly above the water line now. I still managed to snag on a very upright dead tree on the one of the only remaining branches. Sorry to say I lost my first lure of the day about 2 meters above my head LOL
At that point, I though to myself, "This is too feckin hot and the power boats are too feckin loud at lake eildon!". So I headed back to Melbourne, yet again with donuts, but only losing one lure this time.

I admire your persistence! As for the lake level...it is going to keep dropping!
