Well done fella's. Though I have to say, it can't have been to hot, as you have long pants and a jumper on :rofl:

I think it was a bloody big codger lure or similar with a steel bib, 6 inches long not much smaller than the trout cod Dave caught! Hurling it out was a bit like surf fishing. I was getting hits on it in the fast water!

Hey, even if I don't hook up I just enjoy the boofs. One hit at Dave's feet and threw mud at him! :rofl:

I was going to go boofing on the Goulburn this arvo but I'm too tired from last night.

Davo and I might try another river later in the week.

If you have never been boofed Robbie Alexander's video gives you some idea of what it is like - we were getting boofed in the dark of night:

It took a fair bit of trying for Davo to get his first cod on the surface last year so it is a case of persevering till you break through. It works on rivers, big and small and also lakes. You will more often than not catch more on sp or diving lures but the surface fishing is more fun - now and then you will get a session like last night.

Brilliant work lads. Surface fishing is great. Im just getting the hang of it too. Well done.
Gotta try fishing for cod one day. Might have to come and do some lessons with you guys and miffy and sparkles.
