Must admit I've never ventured up to Dart before. It's a very deep lake from my understanding. Does it produce many XOS fish?
Good to see your still alive redhunter

Not that many huge trout in darty.....the bigest ive caught was a 7 pd brown .

Most would be btn 2 and 3 pds aveage.

Not sure why u dont get alot more larger fish...maybe because it doesnt have the food supply like a creater lake..eg..purumbete

That's it mate, Dartmouth has pretty steep banks and any rise in water lever covers bugger all new ground and therefore less food sources for the fish. There were some large trout and fast growth rates when the dam was filling but then tapered off as the food supply became limited.

Oh I didn't know you were a fellow deer hunter...good to see you taking advantage of all that Dartmouth has to offer. Guessing the carry out wasn't too far if you've taken a whole sambar!

Ripper report there BM, battled some tuff weather conditions for some nice fish being caught and a good haul of fresh meat to go home with as well..
Good job all round...

It actually was a fair trip out....halfway through i was thinking pretty silly move when it was raining ice.

I just got cloise to water then walked back to boat and picked it up.

Still took a few hours off walking
