It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Nice. Gives me hope for Saturday. Looks like they still bite. Hopefully Murchison/Shepparton isn't going be too hard for us.

I managed to catch nothing as usual!!! I stuck with the one rod and for a short period didn't even have it in as I thought we had a cheese (bait) shortage and shrimp were nowhere to be seen during daylight hours. A short session with lures aimed at getting me a small redfin (also known as bait) failed.

Come nightfall the shrimp come to the party. I had a few decent bites but that was it. I think I am going to concentrate on bait gathering for the next few weeks which means chasing carp to pass the time in between checking the yabbie nets.

Seb...they will be active for a while yet. March and April are my favourite months of the year to fish here. The only thing that changes is different techniques will work better than others. I have only dabbled with surface fishing but from what reliable people tell me, its success diminishes somewhat in the cooler months.
Cheers

G,day Jim, remember once talking about confidence in fishing with you, if you don,t think you will catch a fish, you generally won,t.
Nice to see you active.

Lord, allow me to catch a fish, so large that even I,when speaking of it afterwards.........May have no need to lie !!!
