Are there basti? They were only fingerlings 18 months ago. Couldn't be too big by now.

It's what I was told when I fished it during the last species comp. Ran into the fisheries research guys who were doing fish surveys. According to them the majority of the fish they had netted were ep of just under-to-legal sizes.

However, I've just had a look at the depi native fish stocking and it looks like ep have only been stocked '14 and '15. Dunno what size fish were stocked but if they were fingerings then my claim above would most likely be wrong. Apologies for jumping the gun

I read somewhere (maybe here) Melton reservoir EP's had already reached legal size.. So if that's true I'm sure same could be for Albert park.. Pretty sure they didn't start EP stocking in Melton too long ago

The fisheries guys wouldn't lie. Jesus that's a huge growth spurt.

From memory they were first stocked in jan 14.

When I read about Melton it said fisheries were very impressed with stocking growth and were surprised at well the fish adapted and how much they'd have grown and I haven't heard a single report on Melton.. U never hear much about EP n bass fishing in general..
