I wouldn't even bother going to Griffiths park with this great weather there will be too many people swimming there.

what can i catch at Yarra bend park around fairfield boathouse? Cod, carp macquarie perch? any tips appreciated!

Carp and eel for sure. Caught a carp around there and saw someone caught an eel. Use worms on a running sinker.
