it's that or an eel. and the eels i've caught (sub 70cm) don't run, just headshakes and weight with a little backwards swimming. dunno what else in metro freshwater eats reddies and takes line. This is all pure conjecture of course, we won't know for sure till someone hooks and lands the thing

That is the lake I was at. My hook up was pretty much in the same spot and the fish powered on around the island.

Nice video. Not a huge fan of how he handles the rod but great job getting that fish!
