Fishing at lake Eildon
Going to lake Eildon for the first time this weekend, personally I like lure fishing better then bait fishing, any recommendations on types of lures to use ?
Re: Fishing at lake Eildon
Hey there Wolfie,
Boat or Landbased?
I have fished there there a couple of times and done well on Hard bodies and spinnerbaits.
Slowrolling gulps or vibes up the side of trees has counted for number of yellas as well.
Hope you do well
Cheers
Jed

Hey Wolfie, Eildon is a great fishing location for Yellas, Cod, Redfin, trout and Carp. I have done well there using 3 inch grub style soft plastics on a 1/2 ounce jig head, I have also caught fish using lipless crank lures such as Jackall TN range and spinnerbaits. If you using bait then yabbies and scrub worms will go well. I made this video about fishing at Eildon recently which might help you https://youtu.be/QbUL-tGL1SA

It’s land based fishing, I’ve heard it’s a bit difficult to lure fish off the land though. Thanks for the advice, I think I’ll go with spinnerbaits and some hard bodies!jedgpz wrote:Hey there Wolfie,
