So the story goes!!! Local Mp, Susanna Sheed has written to the minister, Jaala Pulford (who will be making an appearance at my workplace tomorrow of which I will be avoiding the impending circus) suggesting a proposed native fish hatchery be located here in sunny Tatura!!!! A new hatchery for native fish has been mentioned by Travis Dowling, CEO of the important stuff (fisheries) a couple times over the last year but he has said nothing is set yet.
I can see a few issues that may arise with having the hatchery located here in Tatura (Dept. of Ag location) but I have no doubt the local MP will push on for an outcome. The good thing is, they are possibly looking for a new location to breed native fish! If it does happen here...Bender has another place to fish apart from the GMW channel!!!!
cheers
