my first surface cod!!

hey guys! dave, dad and i went out for a surface flick on saturday night and walked about 4kms casting all different lures. i cast at this likely looking snag that was in the water. follow the log with my Codger surface lure all the way to the bank because Dave said to reel it in slowly until my feet and BOOF sadly he didnt hook up :oops:. we come up to this wattle tree and then i cast on the outside and the inside 3rd cast and BOOF wind in a little more and BOOF! i hooked up to a 30cm cod and got him to the bank and getting the hooks out and went into my leg. Swam off fine, i know this isn't the best example of cod practice but i had noone to take a photo.
