Headed to Lake Mulwala today for one last crack at the mighty Murray Cod for 2018.
Left home at 4am to hit the water at 5:30ish.
The Day consisted of 1 boat 3 blokes 100's of lures to pick from (I don't think you can have too many lures) and the goal to crack the Metre mark.
Launched from the new Majors Creek Boat ramp. It is a great ramp now and when we got back at 3pm it was like Burke Street, boat coming an going.
We threw every thing at them, Surface Lures, Hard bodies, spinnerbaits and Soft plastics.
Count for the day was eight cod, smallest was in the 40's with 3 just under legal and 2 in the 60's.
They were all caught on hard bodies and the most of them were on dark green with Ac Invaders, Swagman Jumbuck and Number 1 Stump Jumper doing the damage. One fell to a purple Orgee style lure (cant remember what it was but it was like an old mate or orgee) .
Fishing can be strange some days and One caught 4, another 3 and I got one (but help in netting a lot HA)
