Easter cod
Got away up to Nyah easter weekend for some camping and fishing.
Arrived around 9am friday morning.. after a 4 hour drive. First thing was first and that was to set my rods up before I even thought about pulling the swag out
First fish came at around 2:30pm on a large chunk of chicken breast measuring a nice 65cm

Nothing after that until the next morning when i reluctantly rose at 5am, quick bacon sandwhich (or three) and I was out on the water in the kayak at 5:30am. paddled upstream (which I regretted after 50m) and anchored up in a few holes, nothing on bait or lure until i was drifting back downstream to camp with a lure trolling behind. I was sitting back eyes closed almost asleep and BOOM I was on, boy did i wake up quick. I didnt get a chance to measure but he was mid 60s again.

Later that day I was sitting around camp drowning a grub and a few beers in at this stage when I was on again! the cod hit my bait so hard my bells flew about 5m in the are and straight into the drink  He fought harder then the last two and came in shorter then them both at 63cm

Good work Johnny, some nice fish there, :a_goodjob: cheers davo
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them
