With the weather warming up it’s time to dust off the hobie in the morning and go for a flick for some bass.
I’m interested in what everyone’s go to lure is. For mine down here in east Gippsland would have to be the jackal chubby in black or green but my biggest bass was on a zman grub

Re: Favourite bass lure
Mine is a tiemco soft shell cicada, admittedly I haven't put much time into fishing much other than surface for bass. This coming season my plan is to gain confidence on techniques other than surface and understanding when bass want different presentations. Jigspins are going to be the first new lure I try due to their popularity with a lot of the bass fisherman I talk to.

Skirted jigs are dynamite until it’s surface time.mazman wrote: ↑Thu Oct 24, 2019 10:34 pmMine is a tiemco soft shell cicada, admittedly I haven't put much time into fishing much other than surface for bass. Re: Favourite bass lure
I'm no bass expert, but last year I did few trips to Gippsland and caught few small bass. They took pretty much anything (maybe coz they're small).
Gomoku pencil, gomoku popper, small jitterbug, atomic hardz
Will try few more bass session this summer, hopefully bigger species.

Thanks for the recommendations fellas,
I’m down in Gippsland to seb and keen to chase them more now that I have a hobie.
Fished the Macalister this morning for donuts water still very dirty but was good trying out the new Garmin stricker plus 5. I’m very happy with it
