Sliver Perch

Post by jedgpz » Fri Dec 23, 2011 9:26 am

I managed to get out to the Goulbourn River yesterday for hour or two, was hoping for a Christmas Cod but they were not in the Christmas Spirit ;)
Got this Sliver Perch on a Bardie Grub, He was safely returned as the law the requires.
Hope you all have a great Christmas and a wonderful new year.
Jed

Nice catch there mate :) I have recently caught 2 silver perch both well over 30cm, certainly great fighters & enjoyable enough to have a tussle with. I got mine in the Little Murray river (not the main Murray) in Swan Hill & like yours they were safely released after a cameo photo 8-) At the moment here they are the only natives that I can catch, its 10 to 20 carp to a single silver perch to break the monotony of carp culling :bat:
Cheers oldmanriver (John)
