Landbased Whiting 8-6-14

Post by TrevKing » Sun Jun 08, 2014 8:16 pm

Hey guys, headed down to the Bellarine today and had a fun session with plenty of fish.
Managed a lot of small salmon (biggest 25cm), some toadies, one massive puffer and the 4 whiting pictured below (all around 30cm).
All caught in around 2 hours fishing, and pipis was the bait.

Cheers :water:

Congrats on your catch, I can't catch whiting from a boat so you are doing pretty good catching them land based.

It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Nice catch. I agree with Ango…. those things are hard to get onto. I struggle to catch anything from the Barwon. Would you mind sharing the location? Not sure if this is an appropriate question or not.
