Nice one mate. So you are a fan of eating them?
I've only ever caught a couple and used them for bait.... based on most people saying they are no good to eat. I've been thinking next time I get a decent size one I might have a taste.

Fillet, de skin, debone
Cover with flour and strait into frying pan with half centermeter of oil

Yes, salmon are delicious! One trick I've found is that with bigger fish, after filleting and removing the skin, also remove the dark red fat and slice the fillet in two length ways. This gives you two thinner slices of fish that are quicker to cook, but also don't have the "chewy" quality that large sections of salmon can have. Once fried, a bit of salt and lemon, and maybe some mustard on the side and you have a tasty meal.

Thanks mate. That’s very true.samjas1316 wrote:Well done Lx. Specially helping out with the young fella. Can’t stand it when I see a dad getting upset with his children because he can’t go fishing. It’s suppose to be enjoyable, specially if you want a fishing buddy for life.

Salmon is a good enough fish to eat just experiment cooking it. Basa from the supermarkets is the only fish that i have thought is tasteless no matter what you do with it. PS you did a great deed with the young guy, helping him catch a fish or two.
