Re: Clifton springs jetty
Look at those squid marks already on it.
I went on a yak there before, plenty of squids close to the jetty.

Re: Clifton springs jetty
That is a great way to describe it bowl, it really does look squidy
And it gets the Seb stamp of approval. Very observant, with the ink stains. A good indicator on where the squid are and where to cast.
On a humorous note, while searching the net for some pics on the Clifton Springs Jetty, I found this one of an elderly couple on the Jetty. I had a smile on my face when I thought of a line/caption for the photo , , , , needless to say, I don't blame the ol' coot for having a smile on his face.
Cheers

Didn't think of whiting, good call Keeno.
With the broken/reef bottom that it has, it might even be worth a cast bait/berley fishing for some Snapper at night.
Have any been caught in the area?

Re: Clifton springs jetty
It’d be a meter deep there on low tide. Probably good for gars and maybe flatties but not much else. There’s a reason the old steamship jetty was about a kilometre long, it’s just too shallow to get larger boats in close.
