Launched clifton springs yesterday launching 2 pm target squid. With wind picking up 20kts (wasn't for cast for it) got a couple squid. Then wind dropping said to family ok snapper time so bolted out to point wilson plan was the start of corio channel snapper. Arriving at first markers well xmas trees every wear drop anchor burly up and rods in. First rod buckles wifte gets a small gummy i thought might be a good session. Next two rod buckles gummy and schoolie then as sun went down BANG reel screaming head shaking with a smile i say to wife get net good red. After a solid fight red was in the net all up 87cm of solid snapper good way to open the snapper season.

Depth : 10m
Bait: fresh squid
Fish: gummy/schoolie/snapper
Time : 2pm to 10pm
Water temp: 13.7

Nice fish good to see a few starting to get caught. When the water temp starts to rise I reckon they will be on big time with the amount of fish out there. Were the gummies u caught size??

Top report mate with a great catch. I've been fishing landbased and last night got my first red as well. Will put up a report later :)
