cold and slow portarlington

Post by Nude up » Thu Jun 28, 2018 7:13 pm

Decided to go for a fish missed out due to shifts and wind the last few weeks. Launched out of point richards road ramp around 11am. Only 1 other trailer in the car park decided to try for some squid after almost a dozen drifts 1 squid. As I was working the jig every now and then I like to give it a big rip but today every time I went for a big rip a aquid hit and I was left with just a tentacle 3 times this happened not my day.
Gave the squid away and decided to drift the spoil grounds I was plagued with small pinkies now I was getting frustrated I hightailed up towards portarlington township and just drifted I only managed 4 keeper flathead with many thrown back by 4pm I had had enough and pulled the pin as I cruised back to the ramp I thought to myself should have gone to queenscliff .
