Queenscliff today.

Post by Yota » Sat Sep 08, 2018 8:09 pm

Went with a mate today, I got to thinking today about how we all have different fishing styles.
I'm more of a get to a good spot, burley up, baits in and wait for the tide change. I'm pretty easy going generall.
My mate, as you will tell by the report, is the style of on the move, 20 minutes her and there and everybloodywhere
It's all good.
launched at 7am. Queenscliff ramp was busy but not crowded, about 60-70% full.
Went straight to the Point Lonsdale bay for some squid, I'm not sure of its proper name.
1 large model then all quiet.
Went to the Pinnace channel to stir up a gummy but got zip.
Went over swan Bay Area, a few more squid
Stopped a few spots in between that looked promising for whiting but again zip.
Into Sawn bay channel and my mate got a nice KGW about 37cm.
Then back towards Queenscliff and a few more stops for one more squid.
Overall had a good day, 6 good sized squid between us and my mate scored a nice KGW, but I am looking forward to getting out again - my style

Not that I have a boat, but if I did I think I would prefer your style of park n wait. So long as its good weather, peace n quiet, you can forget your cares.....
