Curlewis glass

Post by Trumpeter » Sat Jul 27, 2019 8:40 pm

Launched at Clifton Springs today in awesome winter conditions and after picking up a small squid for bait near the old jetty headed over to Curlewis Bank in search of a KGW or two. Now that the motor's nearly reached 10 hours I can open it right up for 5 min bursts and read 37.9 knots on the gps so I'm pretty stoked with that. Once I reached the mark in an area I call "Little" Bourke Street I set up the anchor with a bridle which worked a treat to stop the boat swinging due to the lack of current there. Berleyed up and it wasn't long before the the first KG was aboard but unfortunately an army of 20cm Pinkies moved in and it was hard getting a bait past them. Only ended up with 4 keepers but as it was such a nice day it was great to get out.
