Best time to fish for cod at night, especially surface fishing.

Thanks for the write up in cod greggo, I'll keep that in mind when I get around to targeting them.

I have no idea about Surface fishing do you mean lures or a floating bait?

I'm pretty sure he means surface lures. I haven't had any luck with them over winter, but they are the bomb in summer...!

Imo its the best time to fish for cod.

Most of the cod I catch are at night time.

I dont think they slow down during the winter just less people head out in the cold.

I agree they change there diet during winter....they have to as summer food not around.

Well worrth fishing for at night.
