First Tench in a long time.

Hi All

Went to a new spot on Sunday with a bunch of mates and not expecting much but it turned into a fun day.
Lots of small browns and rainbows to 20-25cm and small reddies.
Then this brute of a Tench decided it liked my scrubbys and it was on for young and old trying to haul him in on 6lb gear!!!
I haven't caught one in over 20 years and it was a great and welcome surprise as they are a nice looking fish.
All in all a great day at a new location and one that I will be frequenting more often when time permits. All trout and the Tench were released to get bigger and hopefully catch another day.

Thanks LX much appreciated mate :thumbsup: I'm trying to fish as much as I can as dad is going back into hospital after Easter but I'm enjoying myself at the moment while I can :thumbsup:

Tench are one of my favourite fish. They never stop fighting and yours is a cracker.
