Thanks guys, that could well be dad's last trip, who knows, It's become increasingly harder to get him in and out of the car to the point I can no longer do it on my own, my brother came down from Bairnsdale for the day thankfully, cheers davo
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Well done Davo
Make the most of every opportunity mate, life is so busy these days and the weeks fly by.
I nice frothie and a wet line are priceless memories keep you sane while you learn to deal with what is eventually going to happen mate. Talk to the nursing home they will have some tips and AIDS to make it easier to transition your dad from the car to the chair. Even if you end up fishing besides a boat ramp for ease of access it will be worth as you discovered

A great day out Dave, precious time with your dad. I wish I could have done the same with mine.

If you need a pair of hands to take him out again I'd be more than pleased to help.

Best Wishes
