Reddies and a surprise

Post by davek » Mon Oct 16, 2017 4:05 pm

After a big weekend at Manangatang I went out to the channel for a relaxing fishing session. Picked up two little reddies then got hit by what I thought was a decent reddie, turned out to be a 40+cm cod. The cod was released the same way the picture was taken, without being removed from the water.

Great way to finish the day!

And good on you for showing people how to treat cod bycatch in the closed season.

The reddies will be spawning about now and once thats over they will really come on the chew.

Best Wishes
