Goulburn River 25/08.
My intentions this weekend were to camp overnight on the Murray but with my father's health fading I stayed closer to home. I fished the Goulburn around McCoys Bridge and the river seems to be on the rise,
hoping to hook a end of season Murray Cod but that didn't happen. ended up only catching 2 carp, one at 60cm and the other 50cm.
Tried surface lures early evening with no luck however I did get to climb up and down some good banks,
and see 1 snake and 2 wild pigs, cheers davoIt's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Hey Dave,
Nice pics and report. Gee, wild pigs that's a first. Two less mud suckers is always good, with the weather warming they will be out and about. Best wishes for your Dad.
Cheers,
Mark.

It's a shame you didn't get a cod Dave, still a couple of carp is better than zero.. Certainly a nice looking area you fished..
Hope your father's health picks up soon.. thoughts are with you..
cheers
