Hey guys,

Snuck out for a morning session on the trout before work and was rewarded with a few to hand and some great sight casting opportunities and visual takes.

Hope you enjoy watching.

Awesome video maz!
How do you find these small little mountain streams? Looks like heaps of fun and just the kind of thing i'd love to do but I have no idea where to get started/what to look for in a stream to know if it holds fish or not. Is the way you find them just a matter of trial and error or something else?
Nonetheless great video mate

I usually just pick a main river I know holds fish and then look at its feeder streams. If it's a new river I pick a few access points along it to see how much water it's holding at each to get a feel for how far up I want to fish and usually try to have some back ups near by incase it's inaccessible or doesn't actually have water. Doing this pretty much every new stream I've fished has had fish, it's just how many and how big they are that separates the better areas out. Currently the rivers are still a bit high and harder to walk and fish but that shouldn't be an issue for much longer as it warms up.
