Start off with worms, cheapest - Use Garden worms 2 or 3 per hook, leave plenty of loose ends. Use running sinker rig or tiny sinker that runs down line to hook. Fishing from boat, Tie up to tree, open bail arm and let bait sink to the bottom, close bail arm and wind up about 2 feet of line - Hang on. If no bites in 15-20 minutes, move to another tree. Repeat until you find them - Redfin are a school fish, if you catch one there are usually more to follow.

I’d potentially ditch bait altogether and use an inline spinner. Iv had times where my worm and yabbie has hardly had any attention for days, but lost count of how many reddies I’m catching with an in-line spinner. Anything in the red colour from Mepps works a treat. Cast and slow retrieve that’s all!!!
