Anyone fished ringwood lake lately? Went for a walk around it today with the missus, actually looked pretty fishy?

It used to be full of carp and there's a bloke whose often fishing from the wooden platform next to the footbridge. The ducks get fed a lot so bread might be a good bait.

There was originally some decent sized fish in it but not sure now because they drained it?

They drained it a while back (might have been in the 90s) so I would imagine there are some decent carp in there now. I haven't fished it since I was a kid though, I'm just assuming that the carp there are as indestructible as they seem to be everywhere else.

Those Europeans have turned fishing for carp into a science. Some amazing ultra finesse hi-tech gear. Techniques work great on bream and trout in our waters.

I asked the same question 4 litres seems some of the lakes don't allow live bait fishing.Check out how they roll their boiles up on the web very interesting .All carp are catch and release.I suggested he be better of fishing for English perch ( Redfin) but I think they believe they're boney .he said he might try fishing for Pike next.
