Yeah I live close by also I might head down tonight maybe I might hit this spot on the yarra I've been hitting n wet some cheese n try for cod throwing both up in the air atm

At the lake across kingsbury drive (sports field lake), Google Map -37.726697, 145.040646

I've seen plenty of fishermen over the years as I go for bike ride down the walk/bike trail. Seen them catch Redfin & Carp, quite big ones too.

Just wondering how do the Carp get into all the lakes and ponds? in particular the newer waters?

"coarse fishermen" release them. Or eggs stick to waterbird's feet, flooded in etc

If they're connected via storm drains or creeks, then they get introduced through them.

:down: don't bother! Ud look silly walking up to that water with a rod. I know cause I sussed it out body of water is approx 2 car lengths

I have had most luck carp fishing at a farm in doveton called myuna farm in the wetlands up the back rearly I don't catch there the biggest was about 8kg but I've seen much bigger there and have some good happy snaps from there I've been fishing there since a teen now I'm 30 and still amazes me

Caught these at Ringwood Lake today on the bridge. Hooked carp 3 times and had plenty of nibbles. Caught the crayfish by accident. haha. I guess there is life after all. :super:
