Ive only heard stories of carp at Karkarook. Never seen any but im sure they are in there. Not as many as other lakes though. But definitely lots of reddies, and trout after stockings

I'm working near enough to Berwick Springs now, so I popped down for my first carp session. I was about to pack up when my rod buckled. Unfortunately, I dropped the carp -- estimated to be in the realm of 50cm -- near the bank. Or, rather, the knot that attached my line to the swivel gave way. It put up a decent fight, though, and I'm keen to take my step-daughter down there.

The Kyneton lakes, Malmsbury and Upper Coliban at least, have supplied me with many carp over the last six months; half a dozen 60+cm and one at 75cm.
