Pound Bend tonight

Post by ChrisD » Sat Mar 01, 2014 8:16 pm

Hit Pound Bend again tonight.
Had a few small bites to start the session and finally hooked up ...... and it took off like a freight train. So slowly worked it out of the depths determine I would not loose it. While fighting wahtever I had, I look down and the second rod has a bite - bugger choice time do I keep fighting what i've hooked or do I take a chance and grab the second rod as well. Decide to go with the one on the line and finally landed a 60cm/5kg carp. It put up a reasonable fight, but of course by the time I had it landed and "under control" the other bite had gone.
Several more bite for the night and managed one more small Mac Perch just as it got dark. Had to call it quits after that - getting dark too early now, guess it just means I will have to get out earlier.
