I also lost a rod to a landbased Snapper , but about 2 hrs later i reeled it back in :whoh: dont ask me how , it just was sheer luck .
So you aint the first & wont be the last , sorry for your loss .

Let me guess you caught that same snapper with the hook still in its mouth that had the leader/ line still attachted to your rod reel :rofl:

haha your right mate.

The gear wasnt that expensive, however it had an sentamental attachment to that combo ... :(

I ended up getting the Emeraldas!
