Barwon Heads 16.12.12

Post by Breamster » Mon Dec 17, 2012 7:50 am

Took the Missus & 3 mates fishing down at Barwon Heads on Sunday morning. Fished from 7:30am to about 1pm.
The tide was going down, the current was very strong & weeds everywhere but we had a very good session.
The Missus caught a bream & 3 ludericks. My 3 mates got 2 breams, 2 trevallies & 6 ludes.

Great catch! Looks like you've also got some mullet or something in the bucket for bait?

Got about 6 mullets, but they don't count. We use these as compost, sometimes we eat them.

The Breamster's building up a cult following here!

Well done mate.

Just a question for ya, how and where do you collect the worms you use as bait?

Cheers,

Cam.

We normally pump worms from the sand/beach at Barwon Heads. Getting more difficult to find as resource getting scarce. Started to collect worms from Altona. Its a dirty business but well worth it in the end.
