On the way to Lorne
Well here I am once again in the car on the way to Lorne pier. Been awhile since I caught anything but hoping today will be lucky. We should getthere in another hour or so, I'm feeling very eager to the rods in the water. Got Abit of chicken breast and getting blue bait to fish with. And as the sun goes down ill probably get the squid jigs out :D.
Any tips I need for here? Also what color squid jigs are biting these day?

If you hook onto something get it out of the water as fast as you can otherwise the seals just gonna steal it. And the white sephia 3 or 3.5 works well there.

It was perfect today no seal. My mate for a few trevalleys and I got a barracuda. People where catching salmon and one bunch wales away with an esky full of pike and barracuda, probably more then 15.
We are currently on the way to queens cliff now to try our luck there. I'll try get some pictures later an upload

Re: On the way to Lorne
Sounds like a great day out fishing. It also hits me how crap Vic is for fishos LOL. Most of us usually have to drive for at least 1 hour to get to a decent fishing spot, unless you want to fish the filthy (lower) Yarra LOL. Changing spots...... from Lorne to Queenscliff. And I understand, because what;s there in between the 2??Salmon?? LOL

I am also guilty of fishing the filthy lower Yarra , it actually makes me sick @ times seeing the filthy water & constant rubbish flowing up & down with the tides . So i agree with your comment , the fishing 1 hr away is ussually so much better & cleaner than the filthy lower Yarra .Cuda wrote: It also hits me how crap Vic is for fishos LOL.
