The only time i've ever not got fish in the Barwon is after a big rain.

I like just upstream of the bridge on the OG side or 100m north east out of the end of the sheepwash carpark.

Around the sheepwash area. Burley every 15 minutes to bring the fish in.

Was just at Barwon weekend gone stayed with my sister in a place just off sheepwash rd. Fished to the left right at the end of the road on Saturday, heaps of little mullet and bay trout as mentioned, alot of current and a little snaggy also so try fish the turn of the tide to get some slack water.

Re: Any fishing reports around Barwon River or 13th Beach?
Thanks for comments and suggestions fellas.
I headed to the area today as I am having my mid life crisis and decided a few months ago to learn to surf - headed to 13th beach for a surf until 1pm which was 2 hrs after high tide.
Fished at the end of Blackgate Rd where the sewerage plant is first - some bites and caught a small salmon.
Then tried Point Impossible - nothing at all.
Then headed to Barwon River at the end of Sheepwash Rd and around the bend on one of the small jetty's - by now it was like 4pm - too hot and not the right time. Just a small salmon which I put back off course but no bites.
On the way back from 13th beach also checked out beach W31 (cylinders) but at the time there were too many people surfing there. When I drove past there again at 5pm the tide was very low and could not be bothered walking back down the beach again with all my stuff.
I gather tide change times and also early morning and late evenings on hot days are best?

Pretty much John. If you're on a surf beach it makes it better if you're under a 1m swell as well. I use willyweather to check out the conditions before going.
