Fishing Torquay

So heading down to torquay over the long weekend. Anything going off the main beach down there? Think I might soak a bait or two while I toss a lure around

Jan Juc has salmon from time to time. Not very reliable though. Check out google earth for some rock shelves nearby down the great ocean road. Can be a bit tough if there is a swell of significance. There is always Lorne pier if you are prepared to travel.

Hey! thanks for the advice! TBH, I am walking distance from the water, so might just give it a crack off the beach. I stayed in Lorne last year, and tbh, the fishing wasnt really good enough to warrant me driving down. At least in torquay I can stroll over and have a relaxing evening, even if i dont catch anything. I am definitely open to suggestions tho.

Good place to balloon from if your after bities with the right wind, it's scattered reef right through there, on a sunny day you can spot the sand patches for whiting then aim for them.

If your using surf gear to blast the sinker out then be prepared to bring lots of spares, if your throwing plugs it's ok for that..

it's a sewer ? or water outlet of some kind made of a concrete platform..
