Port Campbell

Post by Nude up » Sat Nov 16, 2019 6:41 pm

I have just returned from our annual 6 day camp at the princetown rec reserve. Very windy with scattered showers every day. The beach was shocking wind straight in your face very big waves.
We decided to do some 4 wheel driving for a few days instead great fun only the ranger got bogged and had to be winched out. Although my land cruiser did pick up a few scratches hope they polish out.
We went to fish the jetty at port Campbell it was very rough but we had a challenge on the smallest fish we run a comp every year in honour of one of our workmates who had a heart attack, great bloke but not a good fisherman hence the smallest fish.

I was on fire I caught 6 fish 4 wrasse and 2 sweep one of which was a cracker at 36cm but the winning fish was the 17.5 wrasse I caught so I get my name on the trophy. Sorry no photos I left my phone back at camp.

Sounds like a fun trip mate and a good way to honour your workmate.
Port Campbell Jetty is a place that every one should check out especially in a big swell.

Still sounds like you had a good time with some mates.
At least you did alright down at the pier!
Cheers.
