princetown

Post by Nude up » Fri Dec 02, 2016 7:14 pm

I have just returned from our annual camping trip to princetown, the guys on my crew at work go every year you are allowed a campfire there are a few die hards that take our nightshifts off and get there early to set up the camp.
We mostly surf fish the beach, the river had a big fish kill about 2 years ago but this year I did see a few bream cruising the far rock wall where the river meets the sea but I did not get the chance to flick some lures beer and red wine got in the way. This year the surf fishing was great plenty of salmon, mullet and trevali every body got fish even the nafa's I spent most of my time tying rigs and helping the non fisho's baiting up we had a ball we kept a few salmon and mullet and I smoked them for lunch they were great. This year a few trevali were caught which I haven't seen there for years.
All up 50% of my crew turned up some for 5 nights some just for one but all had a great time we have already picked the dates for next year can not wait

Sounds like a fun trip mate! A few fish about too which is always a bonus. Did anyone have a crack after dark to see what was about? Or were the light ices flowing a bit hard by that stage?
