If you're going to get a 37kg rod, you may as well match it with a 37kg reel :) :)

why do you want a 37kg rod when a 24kg rod would do the job

yeah I wish, it'll be mi goreng for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the next few weeks to get this setup together as it is

sounds like it's fairly unanimous that a 37kg rod is way overkill though so at least that is cleared up.

Even with that rod a 50W size reel is perfect.
