Decided late Saturday evening to do a sprint down to Apollo Bay for an very early morning start and whilst tide time wasn't necessarily favourable I figured watching sun-up from the pier is a good enough reward.
Unexpectedly, did well ( by my record at least) landing a mixed bag of 2 x Elephant Shark, a few Barracouta, plenty of Salmon, 4 Flathead, and a good half dozen pesky rays .... more than a few had to go back in the drink for a few more months but I did walk away with 1 elephant shark.( fish?), 3 decent sized salmon, and a mackerel (I think).
All good fun..... could be worst ways to spend a Sunday morning.
