Glenelg River - Mulloway

The old man and I are heading down to the Glenelg River at Nelson this week and were just wondering if anyone knew where abouts in the system the mulloway were being caught? Close to the mouth or further inland? Seeing as the mouth opened about 10 days ago. Cheers.

The Glenelg River has fished well for bream and mulloway in the estuary this week. Most of the mulloway caught have been under the 60cm legal limit but a few that I’ve heard of have been around the 70cm mark. Still good estuary perch catches up above Wilsons Hall but we should see them start to move down river as the winter approaches. I enjoyed some incredible fishing throughout the winter months, catching perch on vibes all the way down to the estuary.

Thanks guys. Just got back from the trip, managed 11 undersize Mulloway and 3 keepers. With one at 102cm and another at 105cm. Both caught using live bait not far from the bridge.
