Yeah, I spoke to him, (JF.?), the other night...he'd been out bodyboarding and saw a stack of them....I still think the vast bulk are sitting out in the rip, as Dan has mentioned...the beaches won't get busy for another four to six weeks at least, tons of mullet there though, might have to do a little bait fishing session, got no gummy bait at all at the minute...Brett wrote:Was down speaking to "you know who" yesterday and they tried to tell me they were as thick as mud. Glad I stayed home now.
Still love wandering along Gunners even when the sambos are quiet..

Was there at 8am yesterday and stayed till about 12 noon, you may have walked past (the tanned bloke bait fishing in waders about a couple of hundred yards south of the steps). Anyway. I had a good day yesterday. Caught 3 decent salmon. Biggest somewhere between 1.5 and 2 kilos. Dropped another one in the break. Seemed a better fish too (always do when you lose them!).

Re: this morning..
looks flat, shallo and no gutters buddy. How's Gunna during hightide? Is the gutter near our fishing hole back?

Nope, one giant hole near the stairs, where the waves were actually crashing into the sand dune behind the beach, then fairly flat and featureless all the way down to the cape schanck end rocks.
Quite annoying at the moment as the only decent gutter is right by the carpark and almost always has surfers waiting until you cast to swim out next to you.
