Gunners report with Pics

Post by FishnMiss » Sun Jun 07, 2015 9:59 pm

Ok. So we headed to Gunners around 2.30.
Got there around 3.40 lotsa wind.
Got onto the beach and there were heaps of blokes fishing Wow big surprise.
Blokes using bait & lures.
We set up a couple of rods with bait & also had a bash with a lure.
I think someone left the washing machine on, there was loads of chop and a strong cross current running Westerley. I don't think the wind was NW, more like West which made it worse.
Anyway it was something I'd never tried before on my bucket list Hahaha.
Stuck around till sunset with great results Not. Nobody got anything on the beach except if you call seaweed a catch. The waves coming in were irregular and quite intense, if it had been a N or NW wind I'm sure they wouldn't have been that bad.
Some random stupid pics otherwise some people won't read this report

Thought I'd try anyway.
The blokes have been smashing Salmon off Frankston pier tonight.
Apparently they've been on for a few hours down there.

Thanks for taking the time to do a report
But How do we know if you actually went to gunners, if you post fake pics...
if you didn't want to post pics in your report then so be it, but don't do it for the sake of trying to make fun of others.

I think I've had enough of this wind, but who knows by tomorrow arvo I might get the urge to try again. I had really hoped to get a Sambo today. I had fun anyway, learnt something new so it wasn't wasted :-D

Cheers for taking time for the report FM. Been watching the weather closely the last few days and was hoping to debut at Gunnamatta this weekend. Looks like it will be worse today with the wind going West and the swell picking up. Ahh well, looks like it's easing through the week. Might drive down Sunday morning for a look.

Anyway we still enjoyed the outing & the experience
