Go and see for yourself.

Simple physics....check "moments" and "fulcrums" and see how these apply on fishing.
You're right FC, but it will still do the job. I used to spin for salmon with a 13' aerowave before I had a proper surf spinning outfit.
It will work but it will be tiring.

13 footer? You probably ended up with arms like Popeye when you finished.lol
I often spin with a 13' nitro messiah. It's a bit rough but if you're only out for a couple of hours it's ok

That's probably when you were soaking bait and saw birds diving. Lol. I havent seen you or any of your photos using 13' spinning.

Oh did you chase squid off the rocks using 13 footer rod or was that someone else I saw?

Nice fish everyone, especially that huge salmon. This concept of fishing is foreign to me, but watching threads like these over the years are definitely building the interest up.

I snaffled this one from the Phillip Island rocks a few years ago. My PB at the time - 74.5cm. Didn't manage to weigh it.

They were still there this morning, 25 between basti and I on a mixture of slugs and topwater plugs. Some absolute horses in the mix too.
